Head Coach/Operator: Frank Nguyen
Frank is CrossFit DERIVE's Head Coach and Operator, leads off programming and Coaching Development. Frank took the fast-track to coaching while he was a teacher and eventually took a leading role at his previous gym. He has innumerable hours coaching athletes of every level, from Regional and Games athletes to family members, as well as numerous seminars and certifications under his belt. His constant pursuit of virtuosity within the realm of the gym is unmatched, as he is always striving to increase his knowledge to help others.

Coach/Co-Owner: Sam Edwards
Sam has been an avid CrossFit athlete since its glory days in 2007, and has seen the sport grow into the one of the most popular fitness avenues within the last 5 years. He provides expertise in Olympic Lifting, and is the Captain of DERIVE Barbell Club. His experience allows DERIVE to hold its high standard of quality training and coaching, and he carries this within his own training as well which led him to becoming the alternate male for CrossFit EaDo's 2014 Regionals Team. Sam is currently a full-time Nurse at Memorial-Hermann Childrens' Hospital.

Lead Trainer: Taylor Cooley
Taylor is CrossFit Derive's lead trainer in most classes, so you'll see her everywhere! Her experience as a former basketball player and seven years as a teacher, combines to form a dynamic skill set that she utilizes daily in her classes. She has been doing CrossFit since 2012 and has an experienced background in coaching athletes of all levels, as well as personally competing at the highest of levels, including the alternate position on CrossFit EaDo's 2015 Regionals Team. Her passion to help others find health and passion through fitness drives her everyday to push our members to being the best version of themselves!
